Swim Wales Summer Open

22nd April 2016

If you or your swimmer aren't targeting the English or British Nationals this summer then you might want to consider the Swim Wales Summer Open.

Quite a few of our swimmers have attended in recent years with very positive feedback. The qualifying times are more achievable than many might expect.

Our own Simon Killick and his daughter Alice report that it was a fantastic experience for them despite the distance. As events are spread across a number of days swimming can be combined with sampling the local highlights such as cinema, bowling and if you can't bear to be away from the water there is a fun pool with flumes and slides. You can also just get to know the area better.

Where to stay

The local Travelodge comes recommended and it is just 20 min drive from the pool but there are plenty of good hotels and B&Bs in the vicinity.

How to enter

It is a very easy process but entry is on a first-come-first-served basis and usually fills up the day entries open. Apply as early as possible on Wednesday 15th June @ 8.00am to be in with the best chance.

It is understood that parents attending will need to pre-buy their entry tickets online beforehand.
