Competitive Club Squad

Our Competitive Club Squad now trains 3 times a week, and is for existing Monson swimmers of Age Group/Youth Development Elite age wishing to train and compete, but who either do not fulfil the criteria to be a member of the Age Group/Youth Development/Elite Squads, or who fit the criteria but do not wish, or cannot commit to the training schedule. It is also open to new swimmers age 12 and over who wish to train and compete.

Training is well structured and a high level of discipline is expected within this squad. Swimmers in this squad will aim to compete at County Standard, and local level open meets.

The training environment enables swimmers to improve on their stroke mechanics and focus on athlete long term development. Our dedicated coaching staff will work tirelessly to support the athletes in reaching their desired season goals.

The Lead Coach for Competitive Club Squad is Wendy Dray.

Aims

  • Championships qualification and success at County Level.
  • To maintain the skills necessary to train and perform at this level.
  • To build the swimmers discipline and commitment level.
