Monson swimmers Mathew and Jonathan Chadwick took part in this Open Meet, achieving PBs. Top Boy Award was won by Mathew, for his age group, the day after competing in the British Gas Great London Swim at the Victoria Docks! Well done to both boys. |

Daphne Geer has advised that a total of £2120.00 was donated to the 'Dorothy Kerin Trust' following the death of Mick. The Chief Executive of the Trust was overwhelmed by the amount received. On Saturday 3rd July Club Coach Simon Killick swam in The Great British swim in Victoria docks in London, raising over £100 towards The Hospice in the Weald. This is a one mile swim in a wetsuit and has over 5000 competitors. Simon managed a very respectable swim in a time of 30 mins and 41 secs and finished in 656th position. |

Over 300 Friends, family, colleagues and members (past & present) of RTW Monson turned out to pay their respects and celebrate the life of former Head Coach, Mick Geer MBE who gave over 60 years of service to the club and sadly passed away after a long illness on 2 April 2010. National Speedo Junior League (M11) Round I (25-Apr-10)
Royal Tunbridge Wells Monson Swimming Club (RTWM) embarked on a new challenge last Sunday when they travelled to Braintree in Essex to compete in the first round of Division II of the National Junior Speedo League (M11). The league, which is for swimmers aged 9 to 12 years and culminates in a national final, comprises some of the best swims teams from the M11 corridor and surrounding area. Competing in this league for the first time RTWM staggered the opposition by leading from the very first race, winning 19 out of 49 races and running out winners by 13 points with 249 points from Braintree 236, Cheshunt 205, Erith 194, Canvey 181, Bishops Stortford 178 and Harlow 97. Mick Geer
It is with regret that we have to inform you that Mick Geer passed away peacefully on Good Friday. Mick was an Honorary Life Member of Kent ASA and served the Association for many years. He was an Honorary Life Member of Kent ASA and was County Swimming Coach and chaired the County Swimming Committee until this year. Mick was an exceptional man and as during his life, his passing will touch many of us. Our thoughts at this sad time are with Daphne, his wife, and the rest of his family.
There will be a Service to celebrate Mick's life on Tuesday 25th May. Further information can be found here.

Royal Tunbridge Wells Monson Swimming Club have re-established themselves as a major force in Kent and the South East finishing 3rd in the Ladies Kent County ASA points table with an impressive 316 points and 9th in the combined overall points table making them the biggest climber in the points table this year moving up seven places.
