Good Luck to Matthew Chadwick at Open Water Swim (04/10/12)
Swimming this weekend, on his 18th Birthday! Starting at Hampton Court and finishing 4k later at Kingston on Thames. Matthew will be swimming alongside his training partners Academy Coach Simon Killick and the Manager of The Tonbridge Boys School Centre, Matt Parker.

Monson have marvellous day at Ken Deeley Sprints Meet (18/09/12)
Team Manager Patrick Ryan: "...18 swimmers entered the first gala after the summer break and we could not have wished for better results. 42 PB's out of a possible 66 events entered, along with multiple top 3 finishes AND many Kent times already achieved. ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT."

2012 Kents Monson entrants up almost 50% on 2011 (30/01/12)
Well done to all our swimmers who have qualified for the Kent County Championships - a great achievement with Monson entrants up almost 50%.
The girls have an impressive increase of over 20%, with the boys achieving a fantastic 120% jump. Congratulations.

Well done to all Monson swimmers competing for their secondary schools in the KSSA Championships at Medway Park on 21st January.
In addition to some fantastic swims, a relay team made up of Monson swimmers and some great PBs particular congratulations go to Lucianne Sarson, Savanna Jemmett and Callum Ryan who all won their respective event finals.
The ASA and British Swimming are seeking your views and opinions to ensure that the next four year strategy (2013-17) for swimming and aquatic activities reflects the needs of swimmers and non-swimmers, clubs and pools.

Please find here an application form to be completed by swimmers of all disciplines who were not born in Kent and live outside the "swimming county of Kent" wishing to participate in the 2012 Kent Championships. Closing date is 31st October, 2011.

British Gas ASA National Youth Championships 2011
Congratulations Beth Hathaway on setting a new PB and Club Record on the way to the semi finals of the Girl's 50m Freestyle 14/15 years age group at the Youth Nationals on Sunday 31st July. Beth came a fantastic 15th overall. Read Beth's own experience of the Nationals here....

Great Haslemere Open for Monson Swimmers - 9/10th July, 2011
Congratulations to all our swimmers competing at Haslemere for achieving 3 Golds, 3 Silvers, 1 Bronze, 21 PBs and a Club Record for Callum Ryan in the 100m IM.
Monson swimmers Mathew and Jonathan Chadwick took part in this Open Meet, achieving PBs. Top Boy Award was won by Mathew, for his age group, the day after competing in the British Gas Great London Swim at the Victoria Docks! Well done to both boys.

Outstanding Swims at British Gas Youth and wales Summer nationals (16-Aug-10)
RTW Monson teenager Beth Hathaway (14 years) rounded off an outstanding season with three mature performances at the British Gas ASA national Youth Championships held at Ponds Forge, Sheffield. National Arena Swimming League 2011 Club Captains appointed (14-Jul-10)
Annalise Byrne & James Floyd have been appointed RTWM Club Captains for the 2010 National Arena Swimming League campaign. Both were awarded their club captain T-shirts by Director of Swimming, Kim Longland and Club Coach Simon Killick at the end of the training session on Tuesday evening.
£2120 donated to the 'Dorothy Kerin Trust' in memory of Mick Geer
Daphne Geer has advised that a total of £2120.00 was donated to the 'Dorothy Kerin Trust' following the death of Mick. The Chief Executive of the Trust was overwhelmed by the amount received. Daphne would like to express her sincere thanks to the Associations, Clubs and individuals who contributed and to let them know how much their generosity has been appreciated.

Gold Medal haul at Godalming Open (4-Jul-10)
On Sunday 4th July six RTW Monson swimmers travelled to Cranleigh to swim in The Godalming open. This was a level 4 open meet meaning that the entry times are far more accessible and aimed at our younger and non squad swimmers. Read more...
Club Coach Simon Killick braves the elements for charity (3-July-10)
On Saturday 3rd July Club Coach Simon Killick swam in The Great British swim in Victoria docks in London, raising over £100 towards The Hospice in the Weald. This is a one mile swim in a wetsuit and has over 5000 competitors. Simon managed a very respectable swim in a time of 30 mins and 41 secs and finished in 656th position.

Over 300 Friends, family, colleagues and members (past & present) of RTW Monson turned out to pay their respects and celebrate the life of former Head Coach, Mick Geer MBE who gave over 60 years of service to the club and sadly passed away after a long illness on 2 April 2010. National Speedo Junior League (M11) Round I (25-Apr-10)
Royal Tunbridge Wells Monson Swimming Club (RTWM) embarked on a new challenge last Sunday when they travelled to Braintree in Essex to compete in the first round of Division II of the National Junior Speedo League (M11). The league, which is for swimmers aged 9 to 12 years and culminates in a national final, comprises some of the best swims teams from the M11 corridor and surrounding area. Competing in this league for the first time RTWM staggered the opposition by leading from the very first race, winning 19 out of 49 races and running out winners by 13 points with 249 points from Braintree 236, Cheshunt 205, Erith 194, Canvey 181, Bishops Stortford 178 and Harlow 97. It is with regret that we have to inform you that Mick Geer passed away peacefully on Good Friday. Mick was an Honorary Life Member of Kent ASA and served the Association for many years. He was an Honorary Life Member of Kent ASA and was County Swimming Coach and chaired the County Swimming Committee until this year. Mick was an exceptional man and as during his life, his passing will touch many of us. Our thoughts at this sad time are with Daphne, his wife, and the rest of his family.
There will be a Service to celebrate Mick's life on Tuesday 25th May. Further information can be foundhere.
